John Wayne Proffitt, 64, died Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Regency Care Clemmons, N.C. He was born in Richmond, Virginia to the late John Anderson Proffitt and Ollie Davis Proffitt.John Wayne is survived by his brother, Thomas Miles Proffitt (Brenda) of Clemmons, N.C.A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Hopeful Baptist Church, Montpelier, VA.The family will receive friends from 1-2pm prior to the service at the church.In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Patrick Henry Boys and Girls Home, P.O. Box 1398, Brookneal, VA 24528.
