David Thomas Greene, 71 of Bumpass, Virginia passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. He was the son of the late Arthur and Emma Greene.David is survived by his wife; Dixie Ann Greene, daughter, Dawn Greene Mason (Dean); son, David Joseph Greene; grandchildren, Joseph Saunders, Ashton Greene, Raeneisha Mason and Brittany Elkins; two brothers, John Greene (Faye) of Courtland and Russell Greene (Lynn) of Bumpass; four sisters, Lois G. Faulconer (Tommy) of Charlottesville, Joyce G. Dunivan of Montpelier, Doris G. Tuttle (Edward) of Bumpass and Carolyn Snelson of Bumpass.A funeral service will be held 11am on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Little River Baptist Church, Bumpass, VA with interment in church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Monday, July 28th at the church. Arrangements by Lacy Funeral Home, Rt. 522, Mineral, VA.

I have fond memories of Mr. Greene. My family used to visit his basement ” house before the brick one was built. I used to mow his lawn as a teenager. He was a good man . He will be missed. God Bless his family.”
