Bernard Allen Hawk, 79, of Maidens, VA; husband, father, grandfather, brother is now resting in the arms of Jesus after a courageous battle with Leukemia.Bernard was preceded in death by his parents, Lillie Hodges Hawk and Clyde C. Hawk.He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joyce Bishop Hawk, four children, Dale (Delores), David (Janet), Amy Gordon (Tony) and Lori Alford, nine grandchildren; Christopher, Tanner, Sydney, Emily, and Kaitlyn Hawk, Taylor and Madison Gordon, Grace and James Alford, and a brother Karl Hawk (Jean).He was employed with FFV (Interbake Foods) for 44 years.Funeral services will be held 11am Monday, June 16th at Oakland Baptist Church, Louisa, VA with interment to follow in church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Sunday, June 15th.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to, VCU Massey Cancer Center, Dalton Oncology Clinic, Richmond, VA 23298; which was his mission field for two and a half years.
I am so sorry for your loss. You are all being lifted in prayer. Heaven has welcomed him home and he is at peace. His testimony will live on in the lives he touched.
